Carole King and James Taylor reunite the Troubadour Band

Carole King and James Taylor have teamed up for the “Carole King and James Taylor Troubadour Band” and will be taking the stage on March 26 in Melbourne, Australia. After that, they’re hitting New Zealand and Japan in mid-April before coming to LA for the Hollywood Bowl on May 14 and 15. James Taylor is also scheduled to play in Lenox, Maine on July 3 and 4 for Tanglewood.

That’s what’s scheduled as of today, but there is always the promise of more dates, more cities and more Carole King.

King and Taylor first performed together at the Troubadour in November 1969, marking King’s debut as a solo artist after writing hits for a wide range artists including Aretha Franklin and the Monkees. The two played together often in the early seventies where they immediately clicked musically and personally. They celebrated the 50th anniversary of the venue with a joint concert back in 2007, during which time the idea of a troubadour reunion was spawned.
